Singer-songwriter Teebo has revealed his new single, the sultry “Liquor”, which CelebMix are premiering.
The track is a sensual, midtempo pop song with a strong synth throughout, accompanied by Teebo’s intricate vocals.
Lyrically, the song gives an intimate take on love and relationships, and how two people who just met can enter a deep state of mind.
Teebo was inspired to write “Liquor” after the loss of both his father and grandmother, and his difficulty in finding a home.
“I see it as a tropical, flowery anthem that celebrates differences and freedom,” he said.
Born in France as Ahmed Djabi, Teebo was abandoned shortly after birth, and spent the early years of his childhood in and out of orphanages, before being adopted at the age of 5. His name was subsequently changed to Thibault.
Teebo has spent a lot of his life living in different countries and travelling across the world, which has inspired his compositions.
He is also no stranger to music, having previously released several songs on his SoundCloud page, with a variety of different sounds spanning from electronic, rock, indie and pop.
“Liquor” is just the latest offering to come from the singer, who is inspired by the world of pop culture and fashion, and artists who embody a concept and stand up for who they are. This is also clearly reflected throughout his music.
We can’t get enough of the song, and we look forward to hearing more from Teebo!
“Liquor” is out on Friday (19 July), and you can listen to it below:
